Matthew’s path to leadership has been shaped by faith, family and a deep calling to serve. Raised in a Christian home, with a pastor father and a resilient mother, Matthew’s life has been guided by God’s grace and faithfulness through every season.
Over the past 25 years, he has served in healthcare leadership roles across both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. But it was here, at Cassia, that he truly felt at home. He discovered a mission that aligned with his heart: to foster fullness of life for older adults in the spirit of Christ’s love.
One verse that continues to inspire his work comes from Leviticus 19:32:
“Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly, and revere your God.”
For Matthew, this isn’t just meaningful, it’s foundational. He believes serving older adults isn’t simply good work; it’s holy work.
As Cassia’s chief operating officer, Matthew has walked alongside many of you through growth, challenges and transformation. He now steps into this new role with humility, gratitude and purpose.
