As the New Year approaches, we want to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had in 2023. Thanks to our staff, generous donors, residents and their families, this year has been a remarkable one.
These highlights from this past year exhibit our mission to foster fullness of life for older adults in the spirit of Christ’s love.

- Gail Skoglund, Director of Adult Day Services at Cassia, Receives Top Leadership Award – LeadingAge Minnesota honored Gail with the Outstanding Leadership Award at the LeadingAge Minnesota Institute & Expo in February.
- Cassia Communities Win 2023 Pinnacle Customer Service Award- Several of our communities received the 2023 Pinnacle Customer Experience Award by satisfying the rigorous demand of scoring in the top 15% of the nation across a 12-month average.
- Valley View Village Celebrates 60 Years– In June, Valley View Village celebrated their 60th anniversary. Much has changed over the years, but the commitment to those who call Valley View home has not waivered.
- Cassia Celebrates Harmony Gardens’ Grand Opening– In July, years of planning came to fruition with a grand opening celebration at Harmony Gardens in Maplewood, MN.
- Raising $30,000 for Lakeside Oasis Hospice Residents– The Community Health Foundation of Wright County Golf Tournament in July raised more than $30,000 to support Lakeside Oasis Hospice residents.
- Milaca Elim Meadows Golf Classic Makes Audio/ Visual Upgrades Possible– The Milaca Elim Meadows Golf Classic in July covered the cost of much-needed upgrades in the community’s chapel.
- Elevated Golf Experience Uplifts Spiritual Life- The 2023 Cassia Golf Tournament in August raised more than $220,000, enriching chaplaincy programs and resident worship experiences.
- Hundreds Gather for Meadowview of Clive Grand Opening- More than 250 people came together in Clive, IA, for Meadowview of Clive’s grand opening in October.
