Dr. Al Ohrt is a retired radiologist and longtime supporter of Fargo Elim. His wife Phyllis moved to Fargo Elim when her need for care increased. After her passing, Dr. Ohrt gave a generous gift in Phyllis’s memory to launch an endowment fund for staff nursing scholarships.
If you visit Cassia’s home office, Receptionist LuAnn Gordon will likely be the first person to greet you. LuAnn joined Cassia in 2019 and has been a sunny presence at the front desk ever since. Before joining Cassia, LuAnn worked in the mortgage business for almost 20 years.

We sat quietly awaiting the start of the service of celebration for the life of a close family friend. The Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel in Edina, Minn., a Minneapolis suburb, was filled to capacity. We’d arrived almost late and were seated toward the back of the large chapel.
Resident Care Aide Gail Worrell has worked at Cassia’s Trinity Springs community in Oxford, Florida for two years, since the community opened. “Gail is a tremendous asset to Trinity Springs,” says Director of Health Services Danielle Murphy. “She is so full of love and life and brings a smile to any occasion. Gail has a passion for music and dancing and you will always find her singing and dancing with others to bring a smile to their faces.
Between June 17 and 24, we at Cassia are celebrating National Nursing Assistants Week in honor of all the excellent nursing assistants who help those we serve. We want to introduce one of our nursing assistants so you can get to know her. Karen Swenson has worked the PM shift from 3 to 11 p.m. for 13 years at the Milaca Elim Meadows health care center.
